The children’s bikes were designed in collaboration with the new Czech brand called Rascal. In the process of development, the main emphasis was put on minimum weight, minimum maintenance (e.g. belt gear instead of chain), and ergonomics (sport riding style, low seat).

Rascal Bikes

The defining model for all children’s bikes was the starting model with 16’’ wheels. The bent frame with transitional connection of the tubes to the seat post allowed to lower the clear height of the seat and thus the age of the beginner cyclists. This frame feature is characteristic for Rascal bikes of all sizes.

BALANCE BIKE

The design follows the characteristic rear construction of Rascal bikes. For this concept, a two wheel size configuration of 12" with 14" was chosen to provide a larger user range of child sizes. The "S" line that wraps around the seat tube is integrated into the entire frame structure, visually compensating the difference between the 14" front and 12" rear wheel.
